The Five Forks Battlefield Visitor Contact Station at Petersburg National Battlefield has a few exhibits in the lobby, a media room where a park film is shown, and a small book and souvenir store. Outside are a couple of wayside exhibits, three picnic tables, and a covered pavilion. The southern trailhead for the Devin Trail is located to the left of the building near the picnic tables.
Unfortunately, the Five Forks Battlefield Visitor Contact Station is closed until further notice. You can check to see if it has reopened on the National Park Service’s official Operating Hours and Seasons web page for the park. Hikers and picnickers are still welcome to park at the contact station even if it is closed.
