The Bouchoux Trail in Lordville, New York

The Bouchoux Trail in Lordville, New York

The National Park Service owns only the river within the boundaries of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River, so obviously there are no hiking trails within the park. However, the National Park Service has partnered with state and town agencies to provide some hiking recommendations. There are six trails in all along the 73-mile length of the river. I hiked four of them and have provided reviews for those who want more information. If you hike all six, you can get a Take a Hike! patch at the Zane Grey Museum.

For maps and directions to each trail, see the National Park Service’s Take A Hike! web page for the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River.

The following trails are listed north to south:

Bouchoux Trail
Lordville, NY

Damascus Forest Trail
Beach Lake, PA

Tusten Mountain Trail
Narrowsburg, NY

Cobey Pond Trail
Masthope, PA

Minisink Battleground Park Trails
Barryville, NY

Mongaup River Trail
Deerpark, NY
