Whalebone Junction Information Center at Cape Hatteras National Seashore

The Whalebone Junction Information Center is located just past the entrance to Cape Hatteras National Seashore on the northern end of Bodie Island. It is operated by the Outer Banks Visitor Bureau in partnership with the National Park Service. You can ask the staff questions and pick up park brochures for not only Cape Hatteras, but also for the other National Parks in the area: Wright Brothers National Memorial, Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and Cape Lookout National Seashore. There are bathroom facilities as well.

The building is open from March through December between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5 PM, except when closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days. The restrooms are available year-round.
