Tour Stop 33: Post Hospital Site

Construction Date: 1899

The Fort Hancock post hospital was located in the open field at Stop #33 from the time of its construction in 1898 until it burned down in 1985. Surrounding it are other medical-oriented buildings, and even Houses 17 and 18 on Officers’ Row were occupied by medical officers.
