The Phelps Monument on Missionary Ridge in the Chattanooga Unit of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is dedicated to Union Colonel Edward Phelps, who was killed on November 25th near this spot as he led his men up the ridge to attack the Confederate troops.
There is no parking available unless you park on a side street and walk.
