Horseback riding is allowed in the Chattanooga Battlefield Unit of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park on the Lower Truck Trail. This is a 2.5 mile out-and-back trail (5 miles round trip). Parking for horses and trailers is at the Chattanooga Arboreteum and Nature Center located at the end of Garden Road.
There is a longer trail open to horses at the Chickamauga Unit of the park.
