Public boat ramp for motorboats and non-motorized watercraft that is operated by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC). You must obtain a launch permit to use PFBC ramps. This requirement is for all types of watercraft including canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, rowboats, rafts, and sailboats without a motor. BOAT RAMP DETAILS
The boat ramp at the Zane Grey Museum in Lackawaxen is a convenient place to start or end a motorboating or paddling trip on the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. It has a concrete boat ramp and a large, paved parking lot at the ramp for cars and a separate lot for vehicles with trailers (as well as RVs and buses).

Paddlers should keep in mind that on a nice summer day this ramp may be packed with people trying to launch their motorboats. I’ve read that things sometimes get so chaotic that fights break out. If you are planning a trip on a busy day, you might want to use the Ten Mile River Canoe Launch 6.5 miles upriver or the Highland Canoe Launch three miles downriver. Both of these facilities are for non-motorized boats only.
If ending a trip at the Zane Grey Museum, the ramp is located just after the confluence of the Delaware and Lackawaxen rivers but before the Roebling Aqueduct, the bridge you can see in the distance. Just look for the large house with a concrete boat ramp.
