Located in Currie, North Carolina, about twenty miles north of Wilmington, Moores Creek National Battlefield preserves the site of an early American Revolution battlefield. An American victory, the battle on February 27, 1776, lasted only a few minutes, but it put an end to British control in North Carolina for the remainder of the war.
