While not an official picnic area, there are four tables (no grills) near the Visitor Center at Washita Battlefield National Historic Site. The tables are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. All are situated on cement pads and are handicap accessible. Restrooms are available inside the Visitor Center.

Two tables are located at the parking lot, and both have benches beside them for additional seating. Trash and recycling bins are located nearby.

There are two other tables that sit under shade trees near the start of the Dust and Fire Trail. After enjoying a bite to eat, you can burn some calories walking the trail.
