Picnic area at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site

A small picnic area with seven tables (no grills) is located near the entrance end of the parking lot at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site. The tables were out in the open when I visited, but I believe the National Park Service has since installed a tent-type canopy to provide shade. There are portable toilets on site. If you want real restrooms, you can walk a little over a tenth of a mile to the Visitor Center.

The tables are typically taken on a first come, first served basis. While the picnic area is more suited for guests to have a bite to eat while visiting the park, you can hold a small group event by obtaining a Special Use Permit. Contact the park at (516) 922-4788 for more information.
