OPERATING HOURS
The Thomas Stone National Historic Site Visitor Center (and the park) is typically open from March until the week before Christmas, Thursdays through Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM. The exact opening and closing dates change each year, so before making travel plans be sure to visit the park’s official Operating Hours and Seasons web page for the latest schedule. Staff is often very limited, so if there is only one Ranger on duty and he/she is giving a tour of Haber de Venture (Thomas Stone’s house), the Visitor Center may be closed. If so, a sign will be posted on the door. You can wait or head down to the house and catch what remains of the tour.

PARK FILM
An 8-minute documentary on Thomas Stone is shown on demand. The film is a narrated account of Stone’s life and his involvement in the quest for American independence from England. It is suitable for all ages.
EXHIBIT AREA
The exhibit area at the Visitor Center is made up almost exclusively of information panels. Oddly enough, there isn’t much information on Stone himself, as a good number of the panels are on how the Declaration of Independence shaped future events worldwide. Most artifacts and physical reminders of Stone’s life are on display at Haber de Venture, which you can visit on a Ranger-guided tour.
SCHEDULING YOUR TIME
For those interested in reading through all of the information panels, plan to spend about 30 minutes just for that task. Add fifteen minutes for the park film and time to speak with a Ranger about what there is to see and do at the park. If you have no interest in reading all of the information, a brief visit to the exhibit area and time to watch the film should take less than a half hour.
