A small picnic area with six tables is located next to the Visitor Center parking lot at the mainland unit of Saint Croix Island International Historic Site. There are no grills, so this is really just for visitors who want a bite to eat, not a place where anyone would host a large gathering, or even have a picnic if they weren’t at the park in the first place. There is an indoor chemical toilet—fancy outhouse—next to the picnic area that is available year-round. When open from mid-May through Columbus Day, a modern restroom is available inside the Visitor Center.
