A boat ramp that allows access to Acadia National Park’s Jordan Pond is located on the south end of the pond near the Jordan Pond House. Access is from the north parking lot. A signs states that boats can have up to a 10 horsepower engine, but I don’t see any way to launch motorboats from a trailer. The path from the parking lot is only wide enough for people carrying a boat, plus there is no parking for trailers. The ramp is more suited for launching kayaks and canoes, though I suppose you could launch your motorboat as long as you are willing to carry it.
Paddleboarding, windsurfing, and kiteboarding are not allowed on Jordan Pond because it is easy to fall off into the water, and no humans are allowed in the water because the pond is used as a drinking water source. God forbid that anyone gets a taste of human scum, but oil and gasoline leaking out of a motor are just fine.
