There are four campgrounds within Acadia National Park. The two largest—Blackwoods and Seawall—are located on Mount Desert Island, serving both tent and RV campers, though there are no electricity or water hookups. The Schoodic Woods Campground is located on the Schoodic Peninsula. It also serves tent and RV campers, and most of the sites do have electricity and water. A small, five-site primitive campground is located on Isle au Haut. There are also private campgrounds on Mount Desert Island and near the Schoodic Peninsula, and though there are no other campgrounds on Isle au Haut, private lodging is available.

For those with their own horses, there is a 9-site campground at Wildwood Stables with full hookups for RVs available for those renting stalls (14-day limit). Acadia by Carriage operates these services, and information is on its website.
