The small building next to the corral that is located between the Corn Crib and the Overseer’s House at Cane River Creole National Historical Park’s Oakland Plantation is the Corral Shed. This was used to store tools and other live stock-related materials. It was built in the 1800s from cypress boards and originally had cypress shingles. It now has a sheet metal roof.
