STOP 1: BRECKINRIDGE’S ASSAULT

The first stop on the Chickamauga National Battlefield Tour is Breckinridge’s Assault, which is just down the road from the Visitor Center and serves more of an orientation stop than one where significant events took place. The Cell Phone Audio Tour gives background information on how the soon-to-come battle was shaping up (phone number is posted at the tour stop). Cannon and Slocomb’s Louisiana Battery tablet are on display at this stop.
