PRISON SITE TOUR STOP 8: THE WELLS
Forced to find more water than the Stockade Branch could provide, prisoners at Andersonville dug many wells, some down to 80 feet. Markers have been placed throughout the camp where wells once existed. The holes themselves have long since been filled in.
