HISTORIC WEAPONS DEMONSTRATION VIDEO
Cannon are fired on the gun deck of Castillo de San Marcos at various times on Saturday and Sunday, year-around. For a schedule, check the National Park Service’s official Calendar or Historic Weapons Demonstration web page for Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. Muskets are sometimes fired as well, but not on a regular basis. Attending a musket firing is just blind luck. The demonstrations last about 15 minutes, but you’ll want to arrive a little earlier so you can get a good view.
