BOAT RAMP DETAILS
The Poxono Boat Ramp is a concrete ramp located in a rural area that has the look and feel of a backwoods canoe launch. While there is parking for vehicles with trailers, there is not a lot, which is why it is better suited as a canoe / kayak launch. If you arrive with your boat trailer and find the parking lot full, try the Worthington State Forest Boat Ramp located five miles farther down Old Mine Road. That facility has a much larger parking lot.
There are no amenities other than a fancy outhouse at Poxono. This is what Jed Clampett would call a portable toilet in a permanent building.
