WALKING TOUR STOP 13
Old Harlin Bayou
Stop 13 on the walking tour of Poverty Point National Monument marks the former location of the Harlin Bayou, which up until the 1840s flowed through the channel now spanned by the park road. All that remains today is a small stream that empties into a swamp west of Mound A. The Harlin Bayou still exists, but it is now 200 yards to the north.
