OPERATING HOURS

Wright Brothers National Memorial Visitor Center is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, except when closed on Christmas Day.

  • Ranger-staffed information desk where you can ask questions and pick up a park brochure, as well as a brochure for the other National Park properties in the immediate area—Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and Cape Hatteras National Seashore

The original Wright Flyer is in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D. C. The Flyer replica at Wright Brothers National Memorial is a full-scale reproduction of the original plane, and it is capable of flying. It was given to the National Park Service on the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ historic powered flight.
