There are at least two dozen picnic tables—no grills—at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in what appears to be a picnic table parking lot next to a large field just around the corner from the Visitor Center. While these are all available to park guests on a first-come, first-served basis, the reason for the stockpiling of tables is because this field is used for events such as the Lotus and Water Lily Festival.

There are also a few picnic tables along the paths that wind through the forty-four ponds that make up Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens.

For those wanting to host a group event, while no tables can be reserved at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, there are tables that can be reserved at the nearby Anacostia Park.
