Length: .3 mile, one way
Time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆
The River Trail is a .3-mile connector to the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, a multi-use paved path that is open to hikers, bikers, and skaters. It serves as nothing more than an entry point onto the longer trail, so there is no reason to take it unless you plan to hike or bike on the Riverwalk Trail.
Once at the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, heading to the left leads to the southern end of Anacostia Park, about five miles away, and a right leads out of the park and on to Bladensburg Waterfront Park, about two miles away.
