Ranger conducts a tour of the Mission San José grounds

National Park Service Rangers conduct one-hour guided tours of the Mission San José grounds at 10 AM and 11 AM daily. There is no charge or need to register; just be outside the Visitor Center at tour time if you want to attend. The tour does not enter the church, but you can do that on your own either before or after the tour. Mission San José typically opens at 9 AM.

Tours of the Mission Concepción grounds are conducted on weekends at 10 AM and 1:30 PM.

Rancho de las Cabras in Floresville, Texas, is also part of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and the only way to see it is on a guided tour. These are typically given from October through March on the first Saturday of the month at 9:30 AM. Dates are posted on the National Park Service’s Calendar web page for the park. The tour last two hours. There are only twenty spots available, and reservations are required. Please email saan_interpretation@nps.gov and include your name, email address, phone number, and the number of people in your group. If there is room, you’ll get an email back with details of when and where to meet.

If attending a tour is imperative to your visit, be sure to double check the schedule on the National Park Service’s Guided Programs web page for San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Also check the Calendar page, as this is updated each month. There are other tours and events held throughout the year that are posted on the calendar.
