The Peters Valley School of Craft is located in the central section of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area on the New Jersey side of the park. The area was once the village of Bevans, and the school now leases some of the abandoned buildings from the National Park Service for its classrooms and galleries. There are also dormitories and a dining hall (open May through September), so out-of-town students who attend classes have a place to stay and eat. Most classes are two- to five-day workshops, but some are spread out over a month instead of being held on consecutive days.
