See the Boat Launches web page for an interactive boat ramp location map.

TYPE

The Kittatinny Point Boat Ramp can accommodate trailer-launched and hand-launched watercraft. Motorized boats must have a valid state registration.

LOCATION

The Kittatinny Point Boat Ramp is located on the New Jersey side of the Delaware River at the southernmost end of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area just before the Delaware Water Gap. This is the last take-out point within the park boundary. If using Google Maps for directions, search “Kittatinny Point Boat Launch.”

FEES

There is no fee to use the boat ramp.

BOAT RAMP DETAILS

The Kittatinny Point Boat Ramp has a separate concrete ramp for trailer-launched boats and a cleared area along the shore for canoes, kayaks, and other hand-launched watercraft.

There is a parking lot specifically for vehicles with trailers near the concrete boat ramp. Canoeists and kayakers can drive right down to the river to unload their gear, but they must then park in standard parking spaces at the very busy Kittatinny Point. I ended up having to park along the road, for the place was packed on a weekend in mid-October.

In addition to the boat ramps, Kittatinny Point has a picnic area and two fancy outhouses, which are what Jed Clampett would call portable toilets in permanent buildings.
