BLACK HERITAGE TRAIL
STOP 7
The seventh stop on Boston’s Black Heritage Trail is the former home of John Coburn (1811-1873) at 2 Phillips Street. Coburn lived in the house from 1844 until his death in 1873. He was another community activist who helped escaped slaves through his New England Freedom Association.
