There are two boat docks at the National Colonial Farm at Piscataway Park. A floating dock is attached to the fishing pier, which is a short walk from the Visitor Center. The dock stays about two feet above the water, regardless of tide. You can land a small fishing boat or hand-paddled watercraft here if you are coming to the park by water. However, for launching a hand-paddled watercraft, it is easier just to use the shoreline next to the pier. There is no launching of motorized boats from the farm.

Farther down the shore to the west of the pier and accessed by the Riverview Trail is a dock for larger motorized boats and sailboats. The water depth is about 6 feet at high tide and 3 feet during low tide. As with the fishing pier, this is for landing only. If you are arriving by a charter or a boat larger than 25′, please call the Accokeek Foundation in advance to make arrangements: (301) 283-2113.
