Park Rangers and volunteers conduct guided tours of the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site grounds multiple times each day from June through Labor Day. The tour visits the Birthplace Cottage where Hoover was born, the Blacksmith Shop, the West Branch Schoolhouse, and the Friends Meeting House. This is an informative tour that should not be missed if your schedule allows it.
Special events are also held throughout the year at the park. These include holiday festivals and other celebrations, hikes on the park trails, and lectures. For a schedule, see the National Park Service’s Calendar web page for Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. Times for the grounds tours are also given on the Calendar page.
With a few exceptions, use of any photograph on the National Park Planner website requires a paid Royalty Free Editorial Use License or Commercial Use License. See the Photo Usage page for details.
