I am not a fisherman and cannot offer any advice about fishing on the Chattahoochee River. Therefore, be sure to check the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area’s fishing web page for information. As for advice on the best spots to fish, speak to a Ranger at the Island Ford Visitor Center or check out some of the following websites:

Keep in mind that while the entire river from Bowmans Island to Paces Mill is part of Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, the National Park Service does not own all of the land along the river. When accessing the river, don’t trespass on private property. It is best to fish at city or county parks or at one of the ten National Recreation Area park units that border the river.
