See the Picnic Areas web page for an interactive location map.
Picnic Pavilion 5 in the Davis Bayou unit of Gulf Islands National Seashore is located on a hill next to the Davis Bayou Boat Ramp at the end of Boat Launch Road. All tables are located within the pavilion but can be moved outside for picnicking on a nice day. There is one large grill that is the size of two regular grills put together. Restrooms with modern plumbing are available. Though the pavilion overlooks the water, there is no swimming because alligators enjoy the bayou as well.
Pavilion 5 can be reserved by going to the National Park Service’s Permits web page for Gulf Islands National Seashore and selecting the Pavilion Rental link. You can also try calling (850) 934-2600. When not in use, the pavilion and tables are available on a first come, first served basis, but you must leave immediately should bona fide renters show up. (Pavilions 1 and 3 can also be reserved. These pavilions are located in another section of the park.)
