Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site preserves the only true home Franklin Roosevelt ever had. Known as Springwood and located in Hyde Park, New York, Roosevelt was born here in 1882, and the garden near the house is now both his and Eleanor Roosevelt’s final resting place. Also on the park grounds is the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, the first official presidential library established in the United States. It and all other presidential libraries are now managed by the National Archives and Records Administration.
