Fort Matanzas National Monument is located a few miles south of St. Augustine, Florida, and is one of two 1700s Spanish forts in the city. The park consists of a Visitor Center, the fort, a short nature trial, and an unusual picnic area.  Plan to spend around 2 hours at the park for a thorough visit.
