TYPE

The Byram Boat Ramp can accommodate trailer-launched and hand-launched watercraft.

LOCATION

The ramp is located in Stockton, New Jersey, off of Daniel Bray Highway. It is within Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park. If using Google Maps, search BYRAM BOAT LAUNCH.

FEES

Use of the Byram Boat Ramp requires a fee-based launch permit from Memorial Day through Labor Day for launching any type of watercraft including canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, rowboats, rafts, and sailboats without a motor. This applies to everyone, even out-of-state paddlers who are just in New Jersey on vacation. To complicate matters further for those coming from out-of-state, permits cannot be purchased online. Daily or annual permits must be purchased at the Bulls Island Main Office at 2185 Daniel Bray Highway in Stockton, which is less than a mile away. See the Launch Ramp Permit Information Sheet on the New Jersey government website for more information.
