BOAT RAMP DETAILS
The Long Eddy Boat Ramp is a dilapidated concrete-turned-to-gravel ramp that is a convenient place to start a paddling trip on the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. It is located at the end of a fairly straight 500-foot road. There is no place to turn around, so if you have a boat trailer, you must back down the road from the railroad tracks were it begins. There is a private house just before the ramp, which might lead you to believe that this is a private boat ramp. This is not the case—it is a public ramp operated by the village of Long Eddy.
I was unable to determine the parking situation. There is no parking at the ramp, and most vehicles with trailers were parked along the railroad tracks. Across from the house is a vacant lot. There was a vehicle with a trailer parked there when I visited, and this is where I parked to take photos of the ramp, but I don’t know if this is a public parking lot or private property. There are no KEEP OUT signs or BOAT RAMP PARKING signs.
