LOCATION

CANOE LAUNCH DETAILS
The Lordville Canoe Launch is not the easiest place to begin your paddling trip on the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River, but it’s not the hardest either. You must carry your boat and gear from the parking area about 100 feet to the water, which isn’t far. However, the problem stems from the extremely rocky terrain. The path to the river and the actual river shore is filled with rocks of all sorts and sizes. Those with weak ankles should consider another launch point.

The parking area is accessed from the New York side of the Delaware River. It is a very small gravel area that can hold five vehicles, which further complicates launching a trip from here on a busy, summer day.
