This requirement is for all types of watercraft including canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, rowboats, rafts, and sailboats without a motor. See the PFBC’s Registering / Titling a Boat web page for more details. The ramp is closed from 10 PM to 5 AM.

LOCATION
The Buckingham Boat Ramp is located off of Hancock Highway 191 a few miles north of Equinuck, Pennsylvania. If using Google Maps, search Buckingham Access Equinunk for directions.

BOAT RAMP DETAILS
The Buckingham Boat Ramp is a concrete ramp suitable for launching all types of boats. It has a large asphalt parking lot, but this is only for those with handicap parking permits—even though there are no signs stating so. Everyone else has to park along the road leading down to the ramp. I wondered why all the vehicles were parked along the road and not in the super-convenient parking lot, so I asked a local fisherman and this is what he told me. There is also a portable toilet.
