BOAT RAMP DETAILS
The Sparrowbush facility has a concrete boat ramp and a large, paved parking area that can hold 15 vehicles with trailers. It marks the southern terminus of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. Farther downstream is Port Jarvis and then Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
If you are ending your trip down the Delaware River at the Sparrowbush ramp, it is a tenth of a mile past the No. 2 Railroad Bridge and on the New York (left) side of the river. There are large rapids before the bridge and some riffles and exposed rocks on the downstream side of the bridge. It is best to stick to the Pennsylvania side of the river when passing under the bridge to avoid the turbulent area and rocks. Just keep straight until you see the boat ramp, then cut left over to it. The water gets deeper once you get beyond the riffles.
