TYPE
The Bulls Island Boat Ramp can accommodate trailer-launched and hand-launched watercraft.
LOCATION
The boat ramp is located within Bulls Island Recreation Area at 2185 Daniel Bray Highway in Stockton, New Jersey. It is part of the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park.
FEES
Use of the Bulls Island Boat Ramp requires a fee-based permit from Memorial Day through Labor Day for launching any type of watercraft including canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, rowboats, rafts, and sailboats without a motor. This applies to everyone, even out-of-state paddlers who are just in New Jersey on vacation. To complicate matters further for those coming from out-of-state, permits cannot be purchased online in advance. Daily or annual permits must be purchased at the Bulls Island Main Office on Bulls Island. It’s just a 5-minute walk from the office to the boat ramp. See the Launch Ramp Permit Information Sheet on the New Jersey government website for more information.

Fees are required to use the Bulls Island Boat Ramp on the Lower Delaware National Wild and Scenic River
BOAT RAMP DETAILS
The Bulls Island Boat Ramp is a concrete ramp suitable for launching all types of small boats. It has a dirt parking lot that can hold around a half dozen vehicles with trailers. If this is full, there are other parking lots within Bulls Island Recreation Area, though they are not as close to the ramp.
