The National Park Service offers a variety of Ranger-led programs at Springfield Armory National Historic Site, though the only regularly scheduled events are short lectures held on weekends in the Main Arsenal Building. Topics vary, and the lectures last approximately a half hour to forty-five minutes. While the schedule is given on the National Park Service’s official Calendar web page for the park, the topics are not. If you want to know what is coming up on the day of your visit, call the park at (413) 734-8551.

Other events are held throughout the year, including guided walks of the former Springfield Armory grounds now occupied by Springfield Technical Community College, lectures by guest speakers, and the yearly Armory Day Festival where historical weapons are fired by costumed history reenactors. There are also free concerts held on the park and college campus grounds. As with the weekend programs, the event schedule is given on the Calendar page.
