The Settles Bridge Unit has a river access ramp for hand-launched watercraft. Boats on trailers cannot be launched from here. All watercraft must be carried a tenth of a mile from the parking area. Follow a short, gravel path until you come to a boardwalk access ramp, which not only allows wheelchair bound visitors to get to the river, it allows everyone to bypass the rather steep and uneven gully of a trail that leads to the river. At the bottom of the boardwalk, continue down a gentle slope to the river’s edge. Steps have been carved into the slope to help level out the final few yards of your walk.
