West Palisades—Paces Mill
A shaded picnic area with ten concrete tables and as many grills is located next to the boat ramp at the Paces Mill section of the Palisades Unit at Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. Not all of the grills are in good shape, and while some are right next to a table, others are out on their own—perhaps a table once sat nearby and has since been removed due to damage. A restroom building is also on the premises. The entire area is serviced by a very large parking area.

West Palisades—Akers Drive
A small picnic area is located on a knoll between the two parking lots at the Akers Drive section of West Palisades. There are four tables on the knoll and a fifth tucked away in the forest. There are no grills.

East Palisades—Whitewater Creek
There are a couple picnic tables near the canoe launch at the Whitewater Creek section of East Palisades. There are no grills.
