Linville Falls Visitor Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway

The Linville Falls Visitor Center is located at the end of Spur Road, a turnoff from the Blue Ridge Parkway at Mile Post 316. It is typically open daily from May through the end of October between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM. Times can always change, so be sure to get the latest schedule on the National Park Service’s Operating Hours and Seasons web page for the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Linville Falls Visitor Center is basically a gift store with an information desk staffed by a park concessionaire. There is also a relief map of the Linville Gorge. Public restrooms are available. Though not a park Ranger, the lady who was there when I visited knew everything there was to know about the area. I’m sure anyone working here for a while has picked up on all of the tips and tricks.

All Linville Falls hiking trails begin at the back of the Visitor Center. See the Linville Falls Hiking Trails web page for details.
