There is no view remaining at Thomas Divide View on the Blue Ridge Parkway, as much of it is now blocked by two giant trees and the rest by bushes and other weeds. Travelers just starting out on the Parkway from Cherokee, North Carolina, have been pulling into overlooks such as this since the start and are probably beginning to wonder what in the world is going on. Well, keep on driving to Mile Post 451, Waterrock Knob Overlook, because that’s the first excellent overlook on the southern end of the Parkway.
There is a picnic table located at the bottom of a short but steep hill. Unless you want to have a picnic, there is no reason to stop here.
