The Sims Creek Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway is located on the north side of a bridge that spans Sims Creek. There is no view of the creek, but you can get to it by hiking the Green Knob Trail. There is a trailhead here, but Sims Creek Overlook only has a very small road-side parking area, plus the connector trail is steep and overgrown. You are much better off starting the hike at the Sims Pond Overlook a half mile to the south. Sims Pond has a much larger parking area, and the trail is simple to get to.
