The Shenandoah Valley View overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway is now completely surrounded by forest, so there is no view of Shenandoah Valley here. If you want to see the valley, hike to the Humpback Rocks for one of the most spectacular views on the Parkway. This does entail a strenuous 2-mile round trip hike on the Humpback Rocks Trail. You can pick up the trail at the Humpback Gap Overlook just three miles to the south.
