Trails: Price Lake Trail
Picnic Tables: None
Parking is available at Price Lake right along the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is one of the busiest parking areas on the Parkway, for you can get a great view of the lake from here. In fact, if a photo is all you are after, you really can’t do much better than this location. Mornings are a good time for photographs because the sun will be over your shoulder and illuminating the lake nicely.
Recreational activities at the lake include fishing, hiking, and canoeing / kayaking, though no swimming is allowed. The Price Lake Trail, which you can pick up from the parking lot, is an easy, family-friendly, 2.3-mile loop that takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to hike. Canoes and kayaks can be rented at Price Lake Boat Rentals located farther south just past the Julian Price Campground.
