The view at Fetterbush Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway is a forgettable glimpse of a few mountains through a small notch in the trees. The stop gets its name from the very thick growing bush called fetterbush, which may be what is blocking the view for all I know. It is poisonous to dogs, cats, and horses, which is why these animals always drive right past this stop, as you should too. You can see the entire vista clearly from the road in less that a minute’s drive south of here. The best views on the Blue Ridge Parkway are almost always from the road, not the overlooks.
