I’m not really sure where the “gap” in Deerlick Gap is located, but about the only thing visible from the Deerlick Gap Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway is the upper portions of a few mountains, the closest being Wood Mountain. The view into the valley is completely obscured by tall trees and other brush.

Unless you plan to picnic at one of the two tables located in a field next to the Blue Ridge Parkway, there is no reason to stop here.
