Most of the view at Cove Field Ridge Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway has be obliterated by trees and brush. All that remains is a small window where you can see a ridge close enough to hit a golf ball to with another mountain in the background (what you see in the above photo is all there is to see). Though a highly compromised view, the extreme “close” with the “far away” gives a sense of depth that many overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway lack.
